Apple says Apple to show more ads in the App Store.

Apple first started showing ads in its App Store in 2016, and continues to show today.

This is in addition to ads appearing in search tabs and search results. Apple plans to show ads on the App Store's 'Today' tab and on individual app pages.

According to the report, ads in the 'Today' tab will appear in large card format like other content in the tab.

On individual app pages, ads will appear under the heading 'You may also like.

As with App Store Search, ads on app pages will be highlighted in blue to distinguish them from other recommendations.

Apple first started displaying ads in App Store search results in 2016 and began asking users for their permission to enable 'personalized ads' in September.

People Search Ads give developers of all sizes an opportunity to grow their business, Apple said in a statement to AppleInsider.

As with our other advertising offerings, these new ad placements are built on the same foundation.

They will only contain content from the app's approved App Store product pages and adhere to the same privacy standards it adds.
