Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer, has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The company, which counts Apple as one of its major customers,
has seen its iPhone production disrupted by the outbreak of the virus at its factory in China.
The factory, located in the city of Zhengzhou, is the largest iPhone production facility in the world.
The outbreak at the factory has been linked to a number of Covid-19 cases in the city.
The factory has been closed since February 10th, and workers have been placed under quarantine.
The factory restarted production on February 28th, but it is operating at reduced capacity.
Foxconn has said that it expects production to return to normal by the end of March.
The Covid-19 outbreak has had a major impact on the global electronics supply chain.
