Google asks users Home app experience

Tech giant Google is inviting Nest product owners to join the test of a redesign of its Home app

according to an online listing, suggesting users will soon see a new experience on the service.

The announcement was posted on product testing platform Centercode.

The company did not specify the product in question but said the test will focus on the "next-generation design" of the Google Home app.

The program is open to anyone who owns the best Google Home compatible devices including

Thermostat, WiFi, Speaker, Display, Camera, Doorbell, Lock, Nest Protect and Chromecast.

The report notes that users willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement can participate in the test phase.

It's not clear what the new design will look like, but it looks like it will significantly improve the app's experience.

The test comes six months after changes were made to the Google Home app
