South Korean tech treasure hunter Coelacanth Dream dug up some interesting information about the integrated GPU that comes with Intel's Meteor Lake processors.

Looking at the new code patch for the Intel Graphics Compiler, the Phish Tech poster revealed that Meteor Lake IGPU may have ray tracing support in hardware.

Intel's 13th Gen Core processor, codenamed Raptor Lake, is next - and quite imminent. However, in 2023 we think Intel's 14th Gen Core processors,

Regular readers will know that the 13th to 14th gen Core processors will migrate from Intel 7 to Intel 4.

That's not all though, we'll see Intel's first discrete design with TSMC N3 tiles under the heat spreader.

This will be the GPU part of the chip, and thanks to detective work like Coelacanth's Dream, we have an increasingly clear picture of this iGPU.

Perhaps most interesting is the patch indicator that suggests Meteor Lake's iGPU will have ray tracing hardware.
