NASCAR Cup Series at Richmond results

The narrative surrounding Kevin Harvick was that he was enduring a winless streak of nearly two full seasons.

And didn't seem too close to victory, leading just 13 laps all season.

The narrative surrounding Kevin Harvick was that he was enduring a winless streak of nearly two full seasons.

But it only took eight days for Harvick to completely overturn that narrative and position himself as one of NASCAR's most dangerous drivers right now.

After taking the lead from the dominant Joey Logano, Harvick pulled away from the field in the final quarter of Sunday's race.

and made the right tire maneuver to win the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond Raceway.

Taking his second straight win, Harvick fended off a serious challenge from Chris Buescher in the final green flag race.

And then survived a charge from Christopher Bell -- who was on fresher tires to hang on and win by a carlength.

Harvick's win was the 60th of his career, tying him with Kyle Busch for ninth on NASCAR's all-time wins list.

It was his fourth career win at Richmond, joining previous victories in 2006, 2011 and 2013.
